1. Park information accuracy

Park data on Offleash is sourced from OpenStreetMap, council open data, and user-submitted corrections. This information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Off-leash hours, permitted areas, fencing, amenities, and park conditions are set by local councils and landowners and can change at any time without notice to us.

You must always verify current off-leash rules, permitted hours, and park conditions directly with the relevant local council before visiting a park. Offleash accepts no responsibility for any loss, fine, injury, or other harm resulting from reliance on park information displayed in the Service.

2. Dog interactions

Offleash facilitates connections between dog owners but is not present at parks or community meetups and has no control over what occurs there. We are not responsible for any incidents, injuries, property damage, illness, or other harm arising from dog interactions at parks or meetups organised through or discovered via the platform. You are responsible for your dog's behaviour at all times, including compliance with local council laws regarding leash requirements, dog registration, and permitted park areas.

3. Dog health information

Vaccination status, health conditions, microchip numbers, allergy information, and other health-related information displayed on dog profiles is self-reported by owners and is not independently verified by Offleash. Do not rely solely on information from dog profiles when introducing your dog to others or assessing health risks.

4. No veterinary advice

Nothing on Offleash — including content posted by users, information displayed in the Service, dog DMs, weather advisories, breed-specific guidance, or community health alerts — constitutes veterinary advice. Dog DMs are generated for entertainment purposes only and do not reflect the actual health or wellbeing of your dog.

Always consult a registered veterinarian for any health concerns about your dog.

5. Weather advisories and breed-specific guidance

Offleash may display weather-based advisories and breed-specific guidance — for example, recommended time limits in high temperatures based on your dog's breed and size. This guidance is general information only, derived from publicly available sources including the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) free API and general breed information.

Weather advisories and breed-specific guidance are not a substitute for your own judgment or professional veterinary advice. Individual dogs vary significantly in their tolerance of heat, cold, and exercise. Always monitor your dog's condition and consult a registered veterinarian if you have concerns about their health or fitness for outdoor activity.

6. Community health alerts

Offleash may in future display community health alerts — for example, reports of illness or hazards observed at a particular park. Any such alerts will be based on reports submitted by users and are not independently verified by Offleash or any veterinary or public health authority. Health alerts are provided as general community information only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or professional advice.

If you are concerned about a health risk to your dog, consult a registered veterinarian.

Offleash may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of any third-party service. Linking to an external service does not imply endorsement by Offleash.

8. Australian Consumer Law

This disclaimer does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Our services come with guarantees under the ACL that cannot be excluded, and nothing in this disclaimer is intended to exclude or modify those rights.
